Mexico Children’s Foundation
A beautiful place. Real challenges.
Puerto Peñasco is known for the beauty of the Sea of Cortez and its magnificent sunsets. Yet many local families face difficult choices when medical care, school supplies, transportation, or food are beyond their means.
Mexico Children’s Foundation began in 2003 with Steve Schwab’s desire to help. That desire grew into a long-term commitment to children’s health, education, and opportunity.
Our work focuses on practical barriers. A family may need assistance paying for a child’s treatment, help keeping a child in school, or support reaching a medical appointment. We work with area volunteers to connect families with resources and guidance.
The foundation’s approach is personal: one child, one family, one need at a time. The stories preserved on this website show why that matters. They are not just milestones in an organization’s history; they are moments in children’s lives.
Donors, volunteers, and community partners all contribute to this work. Together, we can help children grow up supported and with a chance to build a better future. No child left behind.
